CMorris8-1.jpgBruceton Mills, WV, April 4, 2025 – Tim Calvert, branch manager for Clear Mountain Bank’s Kingwood office, will retire on April 10 after more than 40 years of service.

Calvert began his career at the bank in 1984 as a computer operator in the Operations Department in Bruceton Mills. By 1995, he moved to the Kingwood office and became a loan officer, handling mortgages, commercial and consumer loans.

In 1999, Calvert was promoted to branch manager of the Kingwood office, a position he has held for more than 25 years. Throughout that time, Calvert made lifelong friends and made countless memories.

“I am fortunate to have had many highlights throughout my career,” said Calvert. “I’ve developed lifelong friendships with both my co-workers and clients and shared treasured memories and special moments I had along the way.”

Calvert has significantly impacted those who have worked closely with him, including longtime colleague Marsha Gribble, who will succeed Calvert as the Kingwood branch manager upon his retirement.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Tim for over 29 years,” said Gribble. “Tim has not only been a co-worker and friend but has also become a part of my family outside the bank. I will forever be grateful for everything he has taught and done for me over the years.”

“The bank has been incredibly fortunate to have Tim as a part of the Clear Mountain team for more than 40 years,” added David M. Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “Tim has become a staple of our Preston County team, and we wish him well in his much-deserved retirement.”

A lifelong resident of Preston County, Calvert devotes his time and passion to giving back to his community. Currently, Calvert serves in leadership roles with the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department, the Preston County Buckwheat Festival (for which he has previously been chair), the Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital, and Preston Lodge #90.

In 2019, Calvert was awarded the Brian F. Thomas Community Service Award, which is awarded annually to a Clear Mountain Bank team member who demonstrates a selfless devotion to serving their community and local organizations.

“Winning the Brian F. Thomas Award was such an honor and privilege,” said Calvert. “I believe volunteering is vital in our professional and personal lives. It's so important that we give back, make a difference in the lives of others, support worthwhile causes and encourage others to strengthen our communities by volunteering.”

“Local community banks exist to serve local communities, not only financially, but philanthropically,” added Thomas. “By volunteering with many local organizations for the betterment of his community, Tim has embodied what it truly means to be a community banker.”

On Wednesday, April 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Clear Mountain Bank will hold a celebration event in honor of Tim’s time there. Community members are welcome to stop by the Kingwood branch, wish Calvert well on his retirement, and meet with the new branch manager and longtime Clear Mountain Bank team member Marsha Gribble. Light refreshments will be served.
